"TIME" by Hans Zimmer

CONTEMPLATION

August 2025

I

The love between two people is Unconquerable.
The Heavens are in their place.
The Earth is in its place.
The Universe is immoveable and permanent.

The Stars,
merely constituent elements
within our ever-expanding Universe.

All rest within the Creator
However, and by what means,
We frail humankind comprehend Deity.

Dark minds
enter and peddle
Vicious wares
True enlightenment
Do they lure with allure.

Fetid breath
and farting hole
insist this is the voice of their god.

The odour of that stanza
stenching,
casts it into its own deep corner.
It has no place here.

II

Do not think of Judgments.
Do not sow fear where
No fear has the right to be.

Differentiate between
Fear’s fear and Fear revere.

Instead believe in life everlasting
regardless of faith, religion or creed
We have the Ear.

We will not be abandoned.
There will never be anger visited upon us
in the manner that the ancients reported.

Such reports are imaginative minds
Running riot.

The Alpha and the Omega,
The First and The Last,
In Whom there is No Ending,
At all.

Blast asunder conspiracy theory,
End once for all
That endless End Time Revelation.

That is assurance
Read between the lines
Discern true intent.

Then are lifted imagined burdens.
Live as we are meant to love
while this side of the veil.

Goodness!
A Decade On!

the Soundtrack to the Movie INCEPTION
by
Hanz Zimmer (2010)

In my thinking and reasoning, I have moved way beyond religion.

I do not turn my back on my faith. Faith advances upon the battlements of religions and entrenched attitudes and sees in every religion elements of beauty, truth, a common theme, drawng me in awe and wonder of Creation.

The framework upon which this poem is constructed is faith.

For me, the framework is Psalm 114, John 1:1-5, both of which are underpinned by Matthew 6: 9-13 and Luke 11: 2-4, culminating in Revelation 22:13 and for me personally, the rendering either of the New King James Version (NKJV) but preferably the King James Version (KJV).

This does not, however, tie me to the writings of a collection of books numbering sixty-six.

I read them very much with the eyes of a twentieth century person living wholly in this twenty-first century.

AND GOING ON

 I

Do I kneel to pray?
No.
For if I do I cannot rise again unaided.
Do I have set times to pray?
No.
For then I too quickly fall prey to rote,
and mindless rendition,
the brain disengaged,
but self happily going through the motions.

II

Do I repudiate the Man?
No.

I AM WHO I AM
I AM THE ETERNAL SELF-EXISTING ONE
THERE IS NO OTHER, SAVE ME,
I, MY FATHER AND MY SPIRIT ARE ONE

III

Do I recite Matthew or Luke?
Yes,
If I need to, and rarely.

IV

Do I go to that most secret place?
Yes.

You ask me where it is.

That is for me, only.

Just as your secret place
is for you and you alone.

Do I find true peace?
Yes.

In the maelstrom of daily life,
for that is surely what every life is
this side of the veil,
I find that peace
never fails me,
even though my passage may be
rough, terrifying even,
and one day ending in death.

V

Does that day frighten me?
No.
Because I will then be safe
on the Veil's Other Side
where my work continues,
unhindered.

What does frighten me
is being able to make the grade
In the Here and Now,
In the possibility that very hard times
might be ahead,
and about which I will receive little or no sympathy.

Is it close?
I know not.

Only Time knows the time of summoning …

For my part,
I must not waste my life,
I have no need to panic.
I have an allotted time,
It is finite
It is measureable.

These two commoditiies
are my companions…
Reassurance.

VI

The year, day, hour, minute approacheth,
but I worry not.

I live within the day
And within the day I live within the hour.
That is sufficient.

And so I lay me down to sleep
beneath the canopy of stars,
observing wondrous endeavours
in a trillion lives,
all in an instant,
in full knowledge, too,
that whoever our Creator might be,
That Essenc cannot be gainsaid.

It cannot be otherwise!

VII

And above all,
Knowing that
This Earth,
This Universe,
This Creation
lasts in infinity …
beyond time,
beyond accepted understanding,
never-ending.

This, beyond my comprehension,
is that which gives me hope.

A hope from which burgeons forth
that most blessed word of all:

A S S U R A N C E

Or, as I clumsily write assurance’s definition at least for me

From Death and Back to Life… THAT QUANTUM LEAP.
