The Glory of Nature is one thing. The Independence of Nature is quite another.
It is easy to see the beauty, it is more difficult to acknowledge the independence. Why so? Because the moment I see Nature as being independent, this tends to put me on that dangerous highway with humankind.
What is this? Nature is independent? Nature exists only because of us. We are the ultimate in creation!
If you say so.
I DO so! If you don’t have order brought about by us, people, the ultimate, Nature will revert to nothing more than… …
…careful, you’re getting het up for no reason.
NO! YOU are causing my getting het up! Left to you, Nature would just be weeds.
Is that so? Can you define weeds?
Well it’s those horrid things. Surely you don’t like weeds?!?
You didn’t answer my question. But I’ll leave you with this thought as I’m off for a coffee…
“A weed is just a plant that is in the wrong place.”
I have only to spend a few minutes in my tiny garden to see that Nature is definitely independent.
